SUNDAY 30th MAY 2010 07:10(BST)

THIS DAY IN WW2 (30.5.40)
On the Western Front... There is something of a lull in the land battle around Dunkirk because of confusion and disagreement in the German command. The panzer forces begin to withdraw from the front line to take up positions to the south for the next stage of the battle of France. The evacuation, of course, continues with 53,823 men being taken off. The small ships over the beaches do most of the lifting but transfer their loads to larger vessels for the trip to England. One destroyer is sunk during the day, the French Bourrasque, three others are hit and at least nine of the smaller ships are also sunk. This total does not include the smallest vessels whose losses are also considerable. General Brooke, who has commanded the British
2nd Corps with distinction, is one of the evacuees.

TODAY IN MY LIFE
Blogging and seminar prep interspersed with family time.

TODAY'S THOUGHT
People will generally not leave their money anywhere, yet will strew their thoughts, the groundstuff of their destiny, just about everywhere then wonder why they get nowhere.

TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
An epiphany moment! The point it all crystallised. How it is, that's what I've created. If I keep reacting to it, I'll keep creating it. My thoughts are the act of creation. From now on I will be very careful indeed what I create with thought, speech and action.

TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Is what you're focused on helping?

TODAY'S ONELINER
How is it one careless match can start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box to start a campfire? : D

TRIVIA
Many songs in Western music contain a melody within it that is different from the rest of the song. When placed in the middle, it is often called the MIDDLE 8 because it lasts for 8 beats. If intentended as a build up to the climax of the song or the final verse, it is called the BRIDGE.

TODAY'S AFFIRMATION
Today my focus will be on the potential in everything, and acting to realize it.
