THIS DAY IN WW2 (20.5.40)
On the Western Front... The German armoured advance again makes considerable progress. Guderian's 19th Corps takes Amiens in the morning and Abbeville in the evening. Advance units reach the Channel coast at Noyelles. The Germans have now driven a corridor at least 20 miles wide from the Ardennes to the Channel.
