TUESDAY 25th MAY 2010 08:55(BST)

THIS DAY IN WW2 (25.5.40)
On the Western Front... The Belgian forces are driven out of Menin by attacks of units from Army Group B. The last pockets of resistance in Boulogne are eliminated. Gort (for the BEF) and Weygand (for the French) separately cancel plans for a counter-offensive, blaming each other for failures.

TODAY IN MY LIFE
Very unusually skipping a networking event on the grounds of time better invested at home - some house-husbandry, blogging, networking and seminar prep.

TODAY'S THOUGHT
No obstacle can keep you from a realistic objective so long as time better spent recalculating the route is not wasted ranting at the obstacle.

TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
The qualities I wish to express cannot be generated from somewhere local within, but need to be summoned from elsewhere and allowed to flow through me.

TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Are you focused on the frustration or the new opportunity?

TODAY'S ONELINER
Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly, and for the same reason. : D

GARY'S 100 CLASSIC ALBUMS YOU MUST OWN No.40
THE DOORS - L.A. Woman
The final and best Jim Morrison fronted album.

TRIVIA
Though water is the usual carrier of heat through a domestic central heating system, oil is much more efficient because it requires much less energy to heat up. Water is preferred anyway because it is easier to manage when changing, topping up the system or in the event of leaks.

TODAY'S AFFIRMATION
I will be a channel of peace and wellbeing today.
