In Occupied France... General Huntziger, who leads the French delegation, signs the armistice with Germany in the Compiegne railroad carriage specially taken out of its museum. All French forces surrender on General Weygand's order.

In Riga... Latvia meets Soviet demands for a new government and territorial adjustments.
